The Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of the Republic of Slovenia (JAZMP) and the Icelandic Medicines Agency – Lyfjastofnun (IMA) have signed a long-term agreement in the field of pharmaceutical policy and medicines regulatory affairs
The agreement, signed by Mr. Momir Radulović, Executive Director of JAZMP, and Ms. Runa Hauksdóttir Hvannberg, Executive Director of IMA, reflects the joint efforts of both agencies to promote closer cooperation in the field of pharmaceutical policy and medicines regulatory affairs, as well as to expand the scope of scientific collaboration between the two agencies.
The Agreement includes an agreement on the exchange of specific expertise and good practices between the two agencies in different areas. The cooperation concerns both medicinal products for human and veterinary use. It is important to underline that the confidentiality of all information exchanged between the agencies under this agreement will be guaranteed.
With the signing of this agreement, JAZMP and IMA have taken a step forward in enhancing the quality and safety of medicines within the European market.
